Frequently Asked Questions |
What is the best way to remove algae from my swimming pool? |
Algae can grow in pools that are not getting the proper water circulation or the proper chemical types and levels. Most types of swimming pool algae can be removed by using algacides or other types of swimming pool chemicals. If you can wait a few days to a couple of weeks for the algae to be completly removed then this is the method that we reccomend. If you need the algae to be removed immediantly then what we reccomend is what is called a "chlorine bath" or green to clean. |
This consists of a swimming pool drain and then an application of chlorine over the entire pool surface with special emphasis on the areas that have a noticible algae presense. After applying the chlorine mixture we will scrub the algae with a brush, removing it from your pool. Yellow and Green algae will most likly be completly removed. For the complete removal of black algae additional measures may be required. |
